Membership

The Metro Atlanta Police Emerald Society (MAPES) is a non political fraternal organization made up of law enforcement officers and supporters of Gaelic heritage.

 

Events

MAPES hosts and participates in several events throughout the year. These include an awards banquet, family picnic, Braves game and St Patrick’s Day Parade.

Merchandise

Official MAPES merchandise is available for purchase from from this website. All funds raised from merchandise sales are used to fund member activities.

SATURDAY, AUGUST 27th AT 11 AM AND CONTINUING THROUGHOUT THE DAY


LAKE ALLATOONA - RECREATION LANE

OFF KELLOGG CREEK RD, ACWORTH


We will be grilling hamburgers, chicken and hot dogs. There will be refreshments for both adults and children.

Each member is asked to bring a side dish or a
dessert. You are welcome to bring some lawn
chairs to be more comfortable. As always, there will
be swimming in the lake and some boats to give
members a ride around the lake.

DIRECTIONS

COMING FROM WOODSTOCK & MARIETTA

Take HWY-92 West to Bells Ferry Road. Make a right on Bells Ferry Road. Go a few miles to Kellogg Creek Rd. There will be a light and a gas station on the left. Make a left on Kellogg Creek Rd go approximately 2.7 miles. On the right will be Recreation Lane – turn right. Continue on Recreation Lane until it becomes a dirt road. Drive through the open gate to Parking Lot.

COMING FROM I-75

Take I-75 North to Exit 277 (Hwy 92) turn right. Continue to Kellogg Creek Road (approx 2.4 Miles). Turn left on Kellogg Creek to RECREATION LANE on left. Follow RECREATION LANE until it becomes a dirt road - go through the gate - Atlanta Recreation Area Parking Lot.
